Confession and Absolution - Private confession and absolution will be offered in the church sanctuary on Sat. Mar. 14 from 1-3pm.

Pancake Breakfast - Join us on Sat. Mar. 14 from 8-10am for our spring Pancake Breakfast. $5 per adult, kids eat free. Apple fritters will also be for sale.

Private Prayer - This time of year we also offer opportunities for prayer at our facilities. Members are invited to make use of the church sanctuary or the Saint John chapel for prayer. The church is open Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday from 9 am to 2 pm; please come anytime and you will be let in through the office entrance. Outside of these times, please contact Pastor to make arrangements. May the Lord bless this season of Lenten repentance!

God's Blessing - "Pray over them, anointing them with oil in the name of the Lord." James 5:14 The blessing of God with prayer and the anointing with oil is an ancient and biblical custom. Following services on Sat. Mar. 7 and Sun. Mar. 8 you are invited to join at the altar area after service for a brief time of scripture, prayer, and this request for God's blessing!

Special Projects - Envelopes are available in the narthex for donations towards two special projects/collections -- (1) We are planning for a parking lot repaving project to take place later this year and (2) As in the past two years, we made an annual pledge to Concordia University for their "Adopt-a-Student" program. We'd appreciate your participation in these two projects.

Chili Challenge Winners - Congratulations to Jim Atkinson for winning this inaugural Chili Challenge event. Chris Cioffi (Sharon's son) and Lois McCutcheon placed 2nd and 3rd. There were a total of 7 entries. We were all winners because all the food, including corn bread and desserts were delicious!
