Paving Project - St. John is actively raising money for the Paving Project. "God loves a cheerful giver" (2Cor9:7). Paul emphasizes that generosity should meet practical needs. Raising funds for the paving project allows the church to serve as a place of worship, education, outreach, and community. The new asphalt driveway will span from East Road to Barr Road. The curbs and four aprons to the parking lots will also be repaved, as will sidewalks, as part of this project. The Property Board is seeking to raise part of the project cost before mid-July so we can complete the project before the start of the school year in September. Toward that end, we need another $12,000 before the project begins. Donations can be made to St. John Lutheran Church, please add "Paving Project" to the memo line. Sunday Bible Study - Join us for a study in St. Paul's letter to the Ephesians, Sunday mornings at 9 am. Although Paul wrote to the churches around Ephesus while in prison, these words still apply to God's church today.
Ladies Book Studies - If any ladies are interested, please join our 9:30 am Thursday or 3 pm Saturday book studies. Check in with Wendy MacDonald for more information/questions.
Giant Tag Sale - Save the date - our annual Giant Tag Sale is scheduled to be held on July 9 & 10. Hope to see you there!
Vacation Bible School - Registration is now open for Vacation Bible School, which will be held from Aug. 3- Aug. 7. Please let Cissy know if you can help out. If you can't be present during the week, we can still use help planning and organizing supplies, activities, and snacks.
